Some work as cooks, others as assistants to the teachers and physicians.
Furthermore, most of the African jewelery, including the Swahili earrings, necklaces and bracelets; are crafted by women in this special children center within Nairobi. These women are also trained professionally and given official duties within the institution.
Amidst helping the children with special needs, the Africulture team also supports a primary school within the Kibera slum in Nairobi – by offering better accommodation supplies, food products, learning materials including computers and financial support as well.
