In my own words, I can define a dream as images of things that do not physically exist but are only creations of the mind. While dreams are widely expected to occur at some stages while we sleep, it is quite important to dream at some stages of our thoughts when awake.
It is during these dreams that we dream in our thoughts that we tend to formulate ideas and create images of the future we want. You can find yourself getting a succession of images of the kind of a home you would wish your family to live in, the type of a car you would deem best for them, the business empire you would want your business to grow into.
It is this kind of dreams that get people setting up goals.
What is a goal?
A goal can be defined as the final outcome that one can desire to achieve after working towards a certain direction. This is the purpose towards which one can direct their time and resources so as to make it actual.
Once you set a goal, you then have to device a plan or a way of achieving it. This cooks in your mind, through your thoughts. You get visuals and ideas of how you can maneuver your way from point A to point B. You note down the most viable ideas, you analyze them at a later time to come up with the method that suits you best.
To manage your way all through you plan and eventually get to your goal, you require to have an inner drive, a strong self-drive or rather a desire that burns in you, pushing you towards your goal. This can be referred to as an ambition. If you are not ambitious enough, you never achieve anything, you only end up being a day dreamer, a deviser of very good ideas that only end up in paper but never to anything meaningful in life.
Success doesn’t just come
… it’s a creation born out of efforts, efforts spurned out by desire, a desire to achieve a goal that emanated from a beautiful dream.
To succeed it is necessary to have that.
Without dreams, you can never have a goal to put your efforts towards its achievement not unless you only put in your hard work to help people attain their dreams, and without ambition, you can never have the gas to achieve anything.
One compliments the other.
